Obituary of Patricia Ann Konieczka
Age 61, of Mt. Morris, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024. A funeral service will take place at 11:00am, Monday, April 29, 2024, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services. Reverend Ralph Pieper to officiate. Patricia’s family will be present to receive friends on Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 2:00pm until 8:00pm, and again on Monday from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Patricia “Patty” was born in Flint on May 21, 1962, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman and Phyllis (Gilbert) Stewart. Educated locally, Patty graduated from Elisabeth Ann Johnson High School with the Class of 1980. After high school, she went on to obtain her optician certificate and became a Certified Optician, where she used her talent at several places, with her longest place of employment being Neuenfeldt Eye Care. Patty married the love of her life, Ronald Konieczka, on April 11, 2003. She enjoyed attending Country Music Concerts as well as some Rock and Roll Concerts. Patty enjoyed traveling and spent several years watching the birds and wildlife at the cabin Up North in Glennie. She was a member of the Clio Eagles and enjoyed spending time with her friends there. Patty just bought her winter home in Florida this year and enjoyed her time spent there. Patty had many hobbies and interests that included going on cruises, Morell mushroom hunting, Bluegill fishing, tubing trips, bowling, and eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Patty was well known for the love and care she gave to her plants. She especially loved her Christmas cactus. She loved spending time with her family and could often be found playing games with her grandkids like Skip-Bo and Euchre. Her most recent favorite game was Cribbage. She was a wonderful, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish Patty's memory are her beloved husband of 21 years, Ronald Konieczka; stepdaughters, Julie and husband, Armondo Rodriguez, Jennifer and husband, Justin Ryan; stepson, Joe and wife, Laura Konieczka; grandchildren: Isaiah, Collin, Emily, Kellyann, Alex, AJ, Lilah, Lucas; siblings: Lynn Stewart, Lee and wife, Robin Stewart, Cheryl and husband, Tim Brown, Brian and wife, Debbie Stewart; sisters and brothers-in-law: Larry and wife Sandy, Nancy, Donald and wife, Sonya, Dick and wife, Lisa, Ricky and wife, Marie; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Kathy and husband, Jim Marcou; father and mother-in-law: Richard and Donna Konieczka; brother-in-law, Keith Riegle.
