Tammie is and always will be one of my best friends. We were like sisters giggling and always looking to have crazy adventurous times together!
Our senior class went on a cruise while we decided to plan our very own senior trip to Daytona Beach, FL!!! We were not followers of “The Mainstream” for sure! She got a brand new baby blue sporty Mazda for graduation so of course we had to conquer up a plan to present to our parents so we could go ALONE! Well, it worked and OFF we go! We spent our time on the famous Daytona Beach where we could drive on the beach! We found a great bar on the beach and danced and laughed and guy googled all night long! During the day we would soak up the sun on the beach, watch…and often flirt with all the good looking guys! 2 in particular in a Red shiny corvette!!! Ohhh the memories! Soon, it was time to head home. We were broke! We had just enough money for gas home! Well many don’t know but Tammie had a “lead foot” as it were. (Probably got that from going to so many races at Auto City to see my dad race!) LOL My dad loved Tammie! She was the only friend that could come over to my parents home, walk in, and hop onto my dads lap with a jovial laugh and smile “Hi dad!” If you knew my dad, you would know that was a remarkable act of bravery!
Well, turns out we got pulled over for speeding in Ohio! Yes, of course we got a ticket! We didn’t have the money to pay the fine so Tammie had to call her parents!!! Talk about having the fear of God put in us!!!! Tammie lovingly remembers me saying to the cops when we told them we had no money to pay “What are you gonna do, put us in jail?!! She has always laughed and reminded me of that! Well, of course Tammie’s parents wired the money and we were released! It was the longest 150 miles of our lives!!!! LOL
