Janice was born in Lapeer on July 29, 1934, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy J. and Marjorie L. (Hubble) Wright. Janice attended Mt. Clemons High School and graduated with the Class of 1953. Janice met the love of her life, Guy Cole, at the local A&W in Flint, where she was hanging out with her friends, and he was putting up antennas. They were married shortly after and they have been inseparable ever since. Janice worked for Bell Telephone before she met her husband. She went on to be a lunch lady before opening her own store in Mt. Morris called "Cole's Furniture Store," where she worked as a salesperson until her retirement in 2002. She enjoyed sewing and knitting as well as being an antique glassware collector. Of all the hobbies Janice enjoyed, taking care of her family was by far her favorite. She loved to care for her children and would do anything for them including calling them every day to check on them and she always showed her love for them. Traveling and taking her motor home camping all over the country with her beloved husband is what she most enjoyed after her retirement. She also enjoyed wintering in Texas. Janice was a very good cook and made sure she fed her family healthy meals. She always said she would own a Cadillac and one day she got her very own, even though it was used and didn’t last very long. She then was able to get a brand new one. Janice lived a full life and enjoyed going on cruises, vacationing in Las Vegas, and going on adventures with her husband. She was the best caregiver and took on the care of her mother when she became ill and moved her into her home to tend to her. Janice was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish Janice's memory is her beloved husband, Guy Cole; children: Gregory and wife, Anne Cole and Randy and wife, Lisa Cole; grandchildren: Mary and husband, Ryan Bell, Gracie Cole, Rosie Cole, Ian and wife, Jamie Cole, Chelsea Cole, Taylor Cole and fiance, Steven McNeill; great-grandchildren: Keri, Scarlet, Ridley, Cora, Alexis, Brock; several other family members and friends.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents.
