Mary Ann was born in Flint, on December 26, 1952, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian and Zella (Peters) Bullard. Educated locally, she attended Sacred Heart Schools in Flint and then transferred to Flint Central High School, where she graduated with the Class of 1970. Mary Ann went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mott Community College, working as a Registered Nurse for 50 years until her retirement in 2012. She began her career working at Kith Haven in the ’80s, St. Joseph Hospital, and Hurley Home Health Care from the mid-90s until 2004, then she worked for Briarwood until her retirement in 2012. Mary Ann was an amazing cook and could create meals out of just about anything without using a recipe. She enjoyed spending time outside camping or working in her vegetable and flower gardens. Family gatherings were her favorite, especially when her son Chris came home on leave from the military and the whole family got together to celebrate. Mary Ann was the rock of the family and held everyone and everything together. Watching her children and grandchildren’s sporting events, and passionately cheering them on was her favorite pastime. She would often volunteer at her children’s school as a crossing guard or wherever she was needed to help pay for their tuition. In her free time, she enjoyed playing BINGO, reading romance novels, and rescuing all kinds of animals. Mary Ann was the most thoughtful, kindhearted, person who loved her family with her whole heart. She will be dearly missed.
