I am so sorry to hear of your loss, but, rejoice that we will see him again in Glory. I remember when I was in grade school that Bruce came and built an addition onto the front porch of our house on Mt. Morris Road. I am the youngest daughter of Don and Illa Montague.

My deepest condolences to you Jerry , Lynn and Denny on the loss of Dad, he was one of the best examples of a great Christian man i know. I wish i were there with you all to share a hug, laugh and many memories with you all but will try a few here. What can i say to start with.. there are so many wonderful , funny memories i have about dad. Some are special , precious chats that i would prefer to keep dear to my heart, others are so numerous i dont know where to start. I will always remember the most, when the kids would want him to do something , like take a ride in the back of the lawn mower, and he would have to get his strength back, and then smile like a kid as he said it.. will always remember the pride on his face telling steve and i about the fish he and lisa caught , or he and renee caught when they would go fishing. what lake they went to . he actually froze one after scaling it so we could see "how big that blue gill was". I always enjoyed going out on the boat with him , of course , i didnt care too much about the cane poles, they were way too long for me.. someone else had to get my fish off, but dad always knew the right spots to fish, i even enjoyed his teasing me about wearing his waders the first time Steve and I went out in the trout stream behind the house,.. course they were rolled up 3 or 4 times and i couldnt walk very quiet in the water. He said i was a good sport..hahaha, because i had no problem baiting my own hook and taking off my own fish.. except of course those long cane poles.. I always enjoyed his story telling, even though i heard most of the stories more than a few times , i enjoyed them none the less, specially the ones of him and ma dating, or their teasing back and forth when we were up there, was great to see that. \
\
I have always taken great pride in telling anyone and everyone who would listen that i lucked out in the "in law" department.. not many people can say what wonderful inlaws they received when they got married.. but i could.\
\
Dad was a wonderful man, one who deserved honor and respect. I will truly miss calling him just to say hi , how ya doin. \

love you dad\

Dear Family,\
We had the privilege to know Bruce while attending the former Skeels Baptist Church. He became a close aquaintence during those years. A pillar of the faith, a true Christian example to follow. Bruce was willing to be used in the ministry and made himself available. Had a good long visit with Bruce this summer. Now we are glad that happened. We are thankful the Lord gives us these times since we have no set time he is going to call us home.Bruce will be missed as a true fellow beliver. We thourghly enjoyed his aquaintence over the years. God bless you during these days.

Dear family and friends of Bruce;\
God in His wisdom & mercy has ended the suffering of our beloved friend and brother in the Lord. Bruce gave his all to the Lord for many years. Now he has heard the words we all hope for - " well done thou good and faithful servant " In the many years we served together at M.M.C.C. he was always ready to help in any way possible. He took a young preacher under his wing and helped me grow with the Church he helped establish. The years at M.M.C.C. were the best of my life, largely because of him.. What a great reunion it must have been when he and the many family and friends met him at the doorway to Home.. Our prayers are with you, keep up the good work until we meet at Jesus throne in Glory ..\
