Sally was born in Flint on August 20, 1937, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Percy and Bertha (Murphy) Duffing. Sally worked for Health Plus as an Enrollment Analyst until her retirement. Sally met Joe Duquette, and they were together for 51 years and married for 40 years. Sally was an active member of the Mt. Morris Historical Society. She had a knack for decorating and often would assist with creating the décor for her class reunions. She could make a costume out of just about anything. Sally loved to decorate for the holidays and Christmas was her favorite. She had so many nativities, that people often said her home looked like a miniature Bronners. Sally enjoyed watching TV with her favorite shows being MASH, Irish dancing shows, or any musical you could think of, but her favorite of all time was Out of Africa. She was well known for making a poem out of anything. In her free time, Sally enjoyed going to garage sales and looking at the fall colors. She was a kind, gentle soul who was always willing to help anyone in need and she will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish Sally's memory are her children: Daniel and wife, Lou Duquette, Denise and husband, David Rostar; sister, Susan Duffing; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Sally was preceded in death by Joe Duquette; parents; grandson, Joey Duquette; sister, Judy Runyan.
