William “Bill” was born in Flint on May 13, 1944, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo and Ethel (Cushaway) Jennings. Educated locally, Bill graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the class of 1962. He met the love of his life, Donna Weidner, while they were working at General Motors, and the two were united in marriage on March 17, 1978. Bill worked as a repairman for GM Truck and Bus until his retirement in 1994. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing for walleye on Lake Erie. Bill also enjoyed deer hunting and snowmobiling in West Branch where his family lived. Playing Euchre at the American Legion and in tournaments was one of his favorite pastimes. He also enjoyed shooting pool and in his younger years, he played on a men’s bowling league as well as a mixed league. Bill could often be found working in his yard or tending to his amazing garden, of which, he always had way too many tomato plants. Every night, Bill enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers baseball, Detroit Lions, or University of Michigan football. Most recently, he enjoyed watching Gun Smoke or any other Westerns he could find. Bill loved his family and will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish Bill’s memory are his loving wife of 45 years, Donna Jennings; son, Jason Jennings; brother, Larry and wife, Evelyn Jennings; grandchildren: Logan, Christopher, Connor, Haley, and Carson; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents: children: Billy and Bobby; sister, Mary; brother, Danny.
