Obituary of Barbara Ann Hardin
Age 84, of Clio, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023, in Hurley Medical Center. The funeral service will take place at 1:30 pm, Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Rev. Benjamin Bauer to officiate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Barbara’s family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:30 pm. Barbara was born in Flint, on September 22, 1938, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Jerome and Amelia (Ringler) DeLong. Barbara married the love of her life, John Hardin in April of 1955. Sadly, John preceded her in death on May 17, 1987. In her free time, Barbara enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, reading books about the Amish ways of life, and completing crosswords and word search puzzles. She was known for being a people person who enjoyed talking to everyone even while traveling across the United States. Barbara also loved listening, and singing along to country and gospel music, going to the casino, and playing Bingo.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Amelia Bryant, Susan and husband, Arlie Morgan, Brenda and husband, Matthew Bauer; grandchildren: John, Michael, Matthew and wife, Nikki, Benjamin and wife, Allison; great-grandchildren: Abbie, Taydem, Leona, Gunner, Averee, William; siblings: Shirley and husband, Don Cole, Patricia Hale; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John, Sr.; son, John Jr.; and her grandson, Jason Morgan.
