Born in Flint, MI on October 18, 1939, to Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Anne Marie (Sporli) Glauser, Paul attended St. John Vianney Catholic School until he was asked to shave his beard. Refusing to shave, Paul decided to enlist in the United States Navy at the age of 17. Petty Officer 2nd Class Paul Glauser then proudly served in the United States Navy for eight years, earning his honorable discharge on January 14th, 1965, from USNTC Great Lakes, Illinois. Upon returning to civilian life, Paul married the love of his life, Mary Frances Renick, on February 10, 1967. He spent 32 years working as an electrician for General Motors before retiring in 1997. Paul and Mary Frances were long-time members of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mt. Morris.
Paul loved to be outdoors; he enjoyed camping, and fishing, and spent many happy hours taking immaculate care of his lawn. In his free time, he enjoyed teaching himself to make beer and wine, his '53 Chevy truck, a cold beer, and spending time with his family and friends. Paul will be missed greatly by all who knew him, but especially by those of us who knew him best.
In accordance with Paul's wishes, he has been cremated and will be laid to rest on Thursday, July 20, 2023. Family and friends will gather at Great Lakes Cemetery at 10:50 am for the service at 11:00 am Rev. Fr. Roy Horning will officiate.
