Obituary of Jeffery Eckstein

Of Flint, age 58, died Monday, September 30, 2013, at Hurley Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am Thursday, October 3, 2013, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Gary Pillow will officate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Thursday, from 10:00 am to until time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Jeffery was born May 3, 1955, in Fort Benning, Georgia, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Elizabeth (Cajka) Eckstein. In his free time Jeffery enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers. He was active in Boy Scouts, was a member of the Drum and Bugle Corps, the Marching Band and the swim team while in high school. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kaleigh Eckstein, Kurrin Eckstein, Keaten Eckstein; mother, Elizabeth Eckstein; sisters, Pamela and husband, Pete Boomer and Kimberly Perry; many nieces; nephews; and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; brother, Randy; and grandparents.
