Obituary of Michael Nowland Back
Age 46, of Clio, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 8, 2023. A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 pm, Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Mike McCluskey to officiate. Michael’s family will be present to receive friends from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home and again on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Michael “Mike” was born in Flint on December 21, 1976, the son of Mr. Michael and Ms. Vickie (Girard) Back. Educated locally, Mike graduated from Elizabeth Ann Johnson High School with the Class of 1996. On March 2, 2008, Mike married his best friend, Tara Schroeder, on the beach in Clearwater, Florida. Their union was blessed with two amazing children whom Mike just adored. Unlike most people, Mike worked at his dream job as a Mobile Electronics Professional for Voxx Automotive. His whole world revolved around his family, and spending time with them is what he most enjoyed, especially his children. Mike had a passion for being outdoors and he loved to ride anything that had a motor. Whether it was 4-wheelers, snowmobiles, dirt bikes, or boats. He also enjoyed racing around an RC car making it do flips, twists, and jumps. Spending time on his property in Evart was one of his favorite pastimes. He also enjoyed playing hockey. Mike was a child at heart. Not only did he love all the children in the family, but they also loved him. He was the best uncle and would let all the girls do his hair and makeup. Mike was very knowledgeable about many things because he enjoyed listening to podcasts and was always learning new facts. Mike was a handyman and could fix anything. He enjoyed learning new things. Sasquatch Valley was one of Mike's favorite places to go since he loved everything about Big Foot. Mike was a man who had many friends because of his kind nature and gentle spirit. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Michael is survived by his wife, Tara Back; children: Brady Back and Macie Back; father, Michael Back; mother, Vickie Back; sisters: Brandi and husband, Keith Shriner, Nicole and husband, Curtis Tucker; nieces: Caitlin and husband, Rob, and Brexton; nephew: Michael Koon, III; sister-in-law, Jenna Schroeder; brother-in-law, Matthew Schroeder; mother and father-in-law, Neil and Judy Schroeder; grandparents: James Back, Norman Nowland.
Mike was preceded in death by his grandmothers: Jean Nowland, and Dorothy Back, and stepmother, Linda Back.
