Dolly was born September 14, 1929, in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholai and Victoria (Orzea) Calugaru. She had lived most of her life in Flint and Mt. Morris, and she lived in Romania briefly as a child. Educated locally, Dolly graduated from Flint Central High School with the Class of 1948. On April 14, 1951, she married George W. Eaker; sadly, George preceded her in death on October 11, 1999. Dolly was a devout Christian, a homemaker, a mom, and a doting grandma. She was a long-time member of the Mt. Morris Church of Christ for many years. Dolly had a love for music and even taught herself to play piano and guitar. She also loved to write poetry and short stories. Most of all, she was a talented artist.
