Sweet Uncle Ray has always been so kind and sweet. And especially funny! Even though I’ve known him for 12 whole years now, we only started getting closer a few years ago. I’m so grateful for the bond that we had because it was so special to me and it made me happy. I always looked forward to seeing him on the holidays or even just texting him about what he was doing. Most of the time he was watching football. I remember Thanksgiving this past year, grandma asked him if he wanted anything to drink. He said “I’ll have a beer!” Just like he always said! But, of course we didn’t have beer so he laughed and said, “I’ll take a chocolate milk!” Anyways, in the end he got water! I always loved making him happy so I went and made the chocolate milk for him. I mixed milk and chocolate syrup and tasted it just to make sure it was good. Then I went and gave it to him. He laughed like he always did and he really appreciated it! This moment made me really happy. Just knowing that we were so close now made me even happier. He always told me, “You know what kid, you only started talking me a little bit ago, you were always so quiet!” And he would do his little laugh. Again I’m so grateful for the special bond we had and I will always remember that. I love you so much and will miss you forever! ❤️❤️

Uncle Ray was a kind gentle man. I think all who knew him, loved him. When he escorted my sister and I to the Soaring Eagle Casino after a gymnastics meet a few years ago, he was so sweet!! He opened doors for us, showed us the free pop machine, and which area had the best machines!! We also loved that he was able to visit our home up north! He was a pleasure to be around for sure! He will be missed and thought of often. Love and Peace to you Uncle Ray!

Ray was always an amazing gentleman and all of us at unos are going to greatly miss him coming in and making our night. I wish I would have had the chance to talk to him more. I'm sure he would have had a lot to share. He will be dearly missed by everyone who had the chance to enjoy his company. My condolences are with his family.

Uncle Ray was such an inspiration to all who new him. He never had a cross word or complaint. Where ever he was people seem to gravitate toward him. He once drove to Mt Pleasant to his great great niece’s gymnastic meet. After the meet my sister and I went to the casino with him. We smiled at each other as he got out of his car and proceeded to change his casual jacket to a sport coat before going in. He was such a gentleman. We had so much fun with him that day. That’s just one of many memories I will cherish forever. He will greatly
missed.

He’s been our neighbor and friend for over 27 years. We enjoyed his sense of humor and his spunk. When he called for my husband Harold , he asked to speak to Hal. It would make us chuckle. Early on when the condos were being built, he would walk around the grounds to make sure the debris and nails were picked up. We kindly gave him a nickname of Sheriff Bob and a cheap badge with his name on it. All in fun. He watched out for us , and we kept tabs on him. Rest in peace Ray!
We’ll miss you sweet Ray, God Bless
