Obituary of Patricia Jean Howard

Age 78, of Flint, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023, in Hendricks House. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services. Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell to officiate. Patricia’s family will be present to receive friends from 10:30 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be considered to the Shriners Hospitals for Children. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Patricia’s tribute wall at martinfuneralhome.com.

Patricia was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on July 2, 1944, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.  Harold and Dorothy (Gavin) Davis. Educated locally, Patricia attended Genesee High School, graduating with the Class of 1962. On September 5, 1963, Patricia married the love of her life, Jerry Howard, and the two of them spent the next 50 wonderful years together. Sadly, Jerry preceded her in death on February 9, 2014. Patricia was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed bowling in a league at Southland Lanes for many years until 1980. She then went on to tend to and care for her children, taking them to all of their activities. Patricia loved to play BINGO and spent many Friday nights at Fisher Hall or Ben Agree Hall. She also enjoyed going with her husband to all the Shriner functions that he attended. Patricia adored her family, especially her children, and grandchildren. She had an amazing smile and was the kindest person you would ever meet.

Patricia's family would like to express their gratitude to Wendy Olsen and Kori Hendricks, for the love and care that was given to their mother.                                                  

Left to cherish Patricia's memory are her children: Dena and husband, Todd Daniels, Pennie and husband, Matt Burris; grandchildren: Bethany and husband, Andrew Sanders, Faith, Rachel, and Cadence; sister: Elizabeth and husband, Lloyd Chamel; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry; parents; twin sister, Dorothy; and siblings: Connie, Harold, and Raymond.
