Of Clio, age 79, died Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm Monday, December 24, 2007, at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Rev. Dale Lewis will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Merlyn's family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00pm to 9:00pm and on Monday from 9:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the TCT or Isaiah 58. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.\

Merlyn was born June 13, 1928 in Notasulga, Alabama the son of Mr. and Mrs. Render and Emma (Griggs) Lynn. He and Lillian R. Heyneman were united in marriage July 23, 2005 in Mt. Morris. He was a Loving HUSBAND, DADDY and GRANDADDY. Those left to cherish his memory are, his wife Lillian R. Lynn, four children; Melinda Ann (Carl) Antcliff, Deborah Ruth (Dan) McGillivray, Norma Jean (Sonny) Hargarther, Gary Don (Dorothy) Lynn, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, one sister; Jeanette Sides, one brother, Carry Lynn. Many nieces and nephews. \

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret J. Lynn, son Michael E. Lynn and sister Juanita Lamberth.\
