Griffin family, I was sad to hear of Donna's passing. She was such a sweet lady I was really glad I saw her at my Mother's showing a few months back. It was so nice to talk with her. Take comfort in the fact that she'll be remembered fondly by many. I wish you all the best in these difficult times.

Words can't begin to express how special Donna was to the Bob Hewitt family. She was like a second mom to us when we lost our own mom so many years ago. I don't think we ever saw her in a bad mood. She loved to laugh and travel, especially to historic and scenic places. She had an incredible memory, and taught us so much about our family history. When she and Hugh came to Florida to visit, she could outpace me on walks along the ocean, and loved going to the theater and concerts. She was an amazing woman with many interests, and I feel blessed to have known her for so many precious years. Rest in peace, dear aunt.

Donna and I worked together at Pinehurst El. for many years, she was the reading para pro for first grade. Donna was always so kind and truly believed each child was capable of learning to read. The children in my class loved her. After Donna retired she took care of my youngest daughter who I had just adopted. We were lucky to have her in our lives, for Molly it was like going to Grandma’s everyday. Although I have not seen her very much in the past few years she is someone I think of often. My deepest sympathies to her family.
