Vivian was born in Genesee on July 28, 1938, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward and Burneta (Campbell) Selleck. Educated locally, Vivian started in the Genesee school district until the seventh grade, as they had no high school at the time, and transferred to Davison High School, where she graduated with the Class of 1954. Vivian met the love of her life, Loren Hart, and the two were united in marriage on November 17, 1978. They just celebrated 44 years of marriage. Vivian worked on the assembly line for AC Spark Plug for several years until she traded that in to work cleaning the manager’s offices for the remainder of her 24-year career. Before she started her career at AC Spark Plug, Vivian worked as a beautician out of her home in the 60s, and she also owned a small shop in Clio called The Wig Barn. Her family meant the world to her, they were her pride and joy. Vivian was the life of the party and loved to cook and entertain at family parties. She was a wonderful hostess. She was as selfless as anyone could be, giving of her time and helping in any way she could, even when she wasn’t feeling well herself. She always thought of others first. Vivian enjoyed painting ceramics and going to lunch with her friends. Shopping was her favorite pastime. She loved to shop and often took her beloved husband with her while she walked from store to store. In her younger years, Vivian enjoyed golfing and spending time at her cabin up north on Lake George with her family, where they would stay for the entire summer. She also enjoyed all animals but especially “pocket dogs.” Vivian was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Vivian is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Loran "Jim" Hart; children: Carlo Drago, Misha and husband, Dale McKenzie; grandchildren: Brandon, Brittany, Devon, Austin; great-grandchildren: Brennyn, Claire, Emmitt; beloved dog Lulu; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jerry Selleck.
