Obituary of Karen Darlene Reynolds
Age 77, of Flint, died Saturday, August 20, 2022 in Hurley Medical Center. In accordance with Karen’s wishes cremation has taken place. Condolences may be shared with the family by visiting Karen’s tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com.
Karen “Kaye” was born in Flint, Michigan on August 9, 1945, the daughter of Mr. Roy and Mrs. Roma Knotts. Raised and educated locally. Karen went on to work in the restaurant business, most recently she was a waitress at Sam’s Family Restaurant. She also had talent with cosmetology, from cutting and styling hair to doing perms. While raising her children and watching her grandchildren grow Kaye loved family get-togethers. She enjoyed the stories and laughter with family and friends. In her free time Kaye loved going to the casino, garage sale shopping, cooking, and dancing. Her favorite colors were green and gold, all those who knew Kaye knew her reason with this saying “The color of money!’. Kaye also held a special spot in her heart for her beloved dog Minka. She will be missed by those who loved her.
Left to cherish Karen “Kaye’s” memory are her daughters: Annette Reynolds, Anita and husband, Mike Gilbert; fiancée: Gerald Swadling; 5 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents: Roy and Roma; and sister: Sandra Ross.
