Obituary of Eleanor Burt
Age 87, of Flint, died Tuesday, August 9, 2022, in Regency of Grand Blanc. In accordance with Eleanor’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at 12 Noon on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Aaron Burton to officiate. Family will be present to receive friends from 10 am until the time of service at 12 pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to Mt. Morris Community Church or American Red Cross, envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Eleanor was born in Flint, Michigan on April 17, 1935, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry and Mary Troupe. She attended Flint Technical High School graduating with the Class of 1953. Eleanor met, dated, and married the love of her life, Loren Burt, on February 4, 1956, in Genesee County. Eleanor and Loren were united in marriage for 66 years, their union would bless them with three boys. She loved being a mother, spending her days at home teaching and watching her children grow. After the children were older, Eleanor enjoyed volunteering, she spent over 20 years as a volunteer at the hospitals and helping with home care as a member of the American Red Cross. She touched the lives of so many with her kind heart and soft words. Eleanor was loved by all those who met her, she will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Loren; children: Daniel and wife, Cathy Burt, Steven and wife, Bonnie Burt, and Richard ‘Rick’ and wife, Evynn Burt; grandchildren: Jenny, Tiffani, Candice, Ricky, Marc, Carye, great-grandchildren: Alivia, Kaden, Benjamin, Caleb, Avenlea, Kali, Charlott, McKenzie, and Mattie; great-great grandchild: Zoby; sister: Malva; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, and brother: Clinton.
