Obituary of Edwin Ross Spencer
Age 64, of Mt. Morris, died Friday, June 24, 2022, at home with his family by his side. A Funeral Service will take place at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Brian Southerland to officiate. Edwin “Ross” was born in Lapeer, Michigan on September 23, 1957, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph and Audrey (Johnson) Spencer. Raised and educated in the Lapeer area, Ross graduated from Lapeer High School with the Class of 1975. He went to work in the automotive industry, retiring from Buick after 24 years. Ross met, fell in love with, and married Tammy Arnold on November 27, 1981, in Flint, Michigan. Their union blessed them with two children, Alicia and James. Growing up Ross enjoyed taking his family on vacations, he loved adventures, they visited Dollywood, Cedar Point, the ocean, and several trips up north. Ross and Tammy enjoyed hosting and going to game nights with their friends. In his free time, Ross enjoyed watching NASCAR, more especially going to races. He also loved his countless hunting trips with his best friends, Mike and Al. Most of all, Ross loved his family, spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren was what put the biggest smile on his face. He will be missed by all those he loved.
Left the cherish Edwin’s memory are his loving wife of over 40 years, Tammy; children: Alicia Spencer, James Spencer, and fiancée, Leigh Ann; grandchildren: Karah, Karson, and Kaylon; brother: Scott and wife, Candice Spencer; 2 nephews and 1 niece, and close friends: Mike and wife, Robin Ghering, and Allen Pratt.
Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, and brother: Bradley Spencer.
