Obituary of Josephine J. Hall-Clancy
Age 91, of Mt. Morris, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022, at home, with her family by her side. In accordance with Josephine’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Josephine was born in Durand, on August 14, 1930, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jessie and Elsie (Rouse) Lemos. She was married to her beloved Jeremiah Clancy on December 10, 1989. Sadly, he preceded her in death on July 10, 2020. Josephine worked as a Crib Attendant for Pontiac Motors for 23 years, until her retirement in 1993. Josephine was a fun-loving amazing woman who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed hunting and fishing in Manistee and Wyoming. Josephine loved to shop. It didn’t matter if it was a rummage sale, antique store, or Macy’s. She could find a great deal wherever she went, with purses and jewelry being her favorites. Josephine was a sharp dresser and never left the house without having her make-up and hair done, dressed to the hilt. Josephine enjoyed the special trip she took with her friends to Las Vegas. She also enjoyed scratch-off tickets. Above all, she loved to spend time with her family, playing and winning every card game she played. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Jaina, Sarah, Michelle, Todd, and Gail from McLaren Hospice.
Left to cherish Josephine's memory are her son, Lynn Johnson; brothers: Kenneth and wife, Janet Lemos, David Koivupera; sisters: Nancy Gartee, Annette Vance; grandchildren: Robert Johnson, Tom and wife, Rachel Johnson; four great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Brenda Johnson; sister-in-law, Elaine; special friends: Peggy and Sharon; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Josephine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jeremiah Clancy; son, Daniel Johnson; daughter-in-law, Denice Johnson; sisters: Lucille Trickey and Linda Grainger; ex-husbands: Edwin Johnson and Mike Rivenburgh.
