Obituary of Deborah Kay Wescoat
Of Mt. Morris, age 67, whose life was tragically taken Monday, March 14, 2022, as a result of an automobile accident. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in Mt. Morris. Pastor Kevin Dixson to officiate. Deborah’s family will be present to receive friends from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. On Tuesday morning, Deborah will be taken to church to lie in state from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the family fund. Deborah "Deb" was born May 16, 1954, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester and JoAnn (Tobias) Corlew. She and John Edward Wescoat were united in marriage on July 10, 1971, in Mt. Morris, Michigan. Deb worked at Kroger, happily retiring in 2016. Deb was an avid golfer capturing the elusive “Hole-in-One” shortly after John’s passing and learned to love the game again. Deb was an auxiliary member of Auto City Eagles, #3485, Soaring Eagle and Saganing Casinos, and Beechwood Golf Club.
Deb leaves to cherish her memory her daughters: Kellie and husband, Dave Spannagel, Tracie and husband, Larry Couturier, Beckie and husband, Jeremy Wilson; bonus daughters: Crystal Kleinert, and Harmony Conley; grandchildren: Taylor and husband, Ricky, Robert and wife, Krystal, David and wife, Ashley, Trevor, Tannor, Coy, Blair, Noah, Kaylee, Kenzee; great-grandchildren: Jeffrey, Bentley, John, Derek, Jessa, Colton, Axel, Liam, Emmey; siblings: Kathy and husband, Brad, Gary and wife, Doods, Lori, Ray, Joan, Jay and wife, Becky; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, and very special friends on and off the course.
Deb was preceded in death by her husband, parents (Corlew and Wescoat); siblings: Randy Corlew, Tom Wescoat, and Sue Wescoat; niece Amber Conlay; great-grandson, James Spannagel.
