Obituary of Teresa Jane Reuther
Age 59, of Mt. Morris, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022, at home with her family by her side. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm, Friday, March 18, 2022, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Chaplain Patricia Kelly to officiate, with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Teresa’s family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Autism Society of Michigan. Teresa was born in Flint, on December 14, 1962, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Ruth (Beshears) Cunningham. Educated locally, Teresa graduated from Elisabeth Ann Johnson High School with the class of 1980. She met her best friend, Jason Reuther and the two were inseparable. Teresa had a passion for children and always wanted to help and care for them. She began her career working as a Paraprofessional for the Mt. Morris School District for 17 years. Teresa loved to take pictures and always made sure to capture every moment. Some of her favorite pictures included sunsets, lakes, bonfires, and of course, her family. Making memories was one of her favorite pastimes, and family road trips to see her siblings were at the top of that list. Teresa enjoyed watching zombie movies and shows like The Walking Dead with her son. She was known as a ray of sunshine as she was always smiling. She was a very giving person and always put others first. Teresa spent a decade in the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts. In her free time, she enjoyed antiquing and rummage sale shopping.
Teresa is survived by her son, Jacob Reuther; best friend, Jason Reuther; mother, Ruth and husband, Edwin Barnum; siblings: Doug and wife, Shirley Cunningham, Glenn and wife, Debbie Cunningham; nieces and nephews: Jennifer and husband, Matt Henderson, Robin and husband, Dameion Hill, and Brian Cunningham.
Teresa was preceded in death by her father, and brother, Barry Gene Cunningham.
