Obituary of Dolores J. Dues

Age 97, of Caro, previously of Vassar, died Wednesday, February 2, 2022 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. A funeral service will take place at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Vassar with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family will be present to receive family and friends from 12:00pm until the time of service at 2:00pm. Family is requesting guest to please wear a mask. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Dolores was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 20, 1924, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Elman  C. and Alice A. (Hennessey) Miller. Dolores fell in love with and married Winston (Jim) Dues and together they raised five children. They enjoyed traveling and spending time at their cottage. Dolores loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was very proud of her Irish heritage.  She was a very successful homemaker and mother. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her.  We know she is so happy to be with Winston again, she missed him so much.

Left to cherish Dolores’s memory are her children: Jeanne and husband, Ronald Gugel, Marie and husband, Richard Saeger, James and wife, Linda Dues, Larry and wife, Nancy Dues and Debby and husband, Bill Kukulski; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents: Elman and Alice Miller; her loving husband: Winston; brother: Eugene Miller; and sister: Eileen Podgorski.
