I was fortunate enough to have barbered for Richard for many, many years. I haven't seen him since Covid came around, but I have thought of him often, wondering how he was. I was saddened to read his name on the TV12 Obituaries today. Richard always had a story to tell. Stories of his life, from his childhood on through. After all those years, I think I heard them all. I have missed having conversations with him these past almost 2 years. I will remember him, fondly, always. I'm sorry for your loss. He was a good man.

Uncle Rick was such a great uncle, so enjoyed going out and visiting him, Aunt Efie, Sandi, Nick, & Jeff! I will never forget the Halloween parties and my rabbit Coach that lived at their home. I had the best of both worlds growing up, living in the city and escaping to the country on Coldwater Rd. He was an awesome photographer as well. This one is for you Uncle Rick! Luv ya always

Dear Cousins- I pray for your peace and comfort. Richard was a huge influence in my love of photography, like a brother to my Dad and most recently an inspiration addressing his health challenges. Even in his dark hours, he made jokes and said he had a great life- he sure did! Love you all

Our sincere condolences to the family of Richard on his passing. Richard was a wonderful friend and brother Marine whom I met well over 30’years ago. He was an excellent photographer and his work fills several photo albums at the Flint Detachment home. When a new Detachment Commandant was elected, Richard was called upon to take their official photo which was displayed in the hall during their tenure. I personally called upon him to take my official photograph when I was elected as the National Commandant of the MCL. Richard also wrote a story about me in Vietnam with a funny note about an incident with our brand new FMF Corpsman. He was quite an all around man of many talents who will be missed by all of us.
