Obituary of Ranae Junebeth Adams
Age 39, of Mount Morris, passed away Friday, December 24, 2021, at River Road Group Home. A funeral service will take place at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Roy Horning to officiate. Ranae’s family will be present to receive friends from 3:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Ranae’s tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com.
Ranae was born in Portland, Oregon on April 12, 1982, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rick and Nancy (Black) Adams. Ranae graduated from Lincoln High School in Portland, Oregon, with the Class of 1999. When Ranae was just four years old, the Shriners made it possible for her to go to Walt Disney World and that is when her love of Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh began. Ranae loved the water and enjoyed swimming in her pool at her home, as well as going to the cabin on Houghton Lake and sitting on her chair in the water. Ranae loved to brush, pet, and just be near horses. They brought her great comfort and peace. Dancing was her all-time favorite pastime. She loved to be near people and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. One of her favorite times of the year, was when she got to go camping with her friends. She also attended a Day Program in the group home, and she loved to be with the people there. She was a fun-loving and kind person and will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish Ranae’s memory is her adoptive mother of 21 years, Heidi Gross; siblings: Richard Spencer, Tim and wife, Heather Petersen, Ryan and wife, Elizabeth Adams, Jacob Petersen, Cassidy Petersen, Michael Petersen, Mason Petersen; aunt, Patricia Hall-Black; special nieces: Amanda and Maleya; several other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Ranae was preceded in death by her biological parents, and her brother, Dion Petersen.
