Obituary of Jeannine L. McNiel
Age 92, of Mount Morris, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at home. A private burial will take place at Crestwood Cemetery in Grand Blanc. Jeannine was born in Bristol, Connecticut, on January 8, 1929, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene and Rhena (Chabot) Gervais. Jeannine met Elmore McNiel, in 1949; their love was love at first sight. A few months later, they became husband and wife. Their union was blessed with a son, Timothy. Sadly, Elmore and Timothy preceded her in death. Jeannine was the Office Manager for Ludington News in Flint for many years before retiring. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at their cabin on Higgins Lake, bowling, golfing. She was also a long-time member of PLAV Polish League of American Veterans Post #8.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sisters: Carolyn Goetz, and sister, Ann Carolyn Gervais; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jeannine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmore; son, Timothy; brother, Ramond Gervais; brother-in-law Dr. Rudolph Goetz.
