I have so many wonderful memories of Kim, and most of them revolve around her generous gifts to others, her generous kindness and hugs to others, and her understanding and acceptance of others. She was the one person that always showed positivity and welcomeness to everyone around her. One of my favorite memories is the time Kim and I were setting in Gregg’s office and he was telling us his cat was on Prozac. I was laughing because I had never heard of this, and then Kim shared that she also had a cat on Prozac! Those lucky cats! Lots of cat gossip that morning, and lots of laughs. There are really no words to express how much she meant to all of us and how much she will be missed. Deepest sympathy to you Phil, and all of the family.

I was privileged to work with Kim at Mott Community College. She was gentle and caring and truly loved others in a manner I have seldom seen. I am so sad to hear of her passing. She was so proud of her husband Phil. May her friends and family know the comfort and reassurance of Jesus' love. Her life was a reflection of that love.

A warm, bright light has been taken from us much too soon. Kim was such as kind, special person. Every encounter with Kim at work was a boost to my spirit. Her infectious laugh, a little mischievious at times, was so sweet. She always wanted to know 'how are you doing'. She truly focused on you in the moment -- something we could all try to practice more. My deepest consolences to her many friends and family, especially her beloved Phil.

I only had one conversation with Kim but it left quite an impression on me. I ran into her a couple years ago in a waiting room at a mutual doctor's office and she made the connection that we both worked at Mott. She immediately jumped up and warmly embraced me, as if we had known each other for years. She asked all about my life and experience with Mott and we conversed for a few minutes only, but I deeply sensed her genuine kindness, sincerity and beautiful spirit. I found myself thinking about her afterward and smiled when I thought, what an appropriate last name for her because of her kind "Hart".
I can see she has left many with the same thoughts and experiences and I am so saddened to see that such a kind soul has left us. My sincere condolences to her family and friends and I pray for your comfort that you know that she is now receiving a warm embrace from our Lord - the same embrace that she offered so many of us.

Student's came to rely on her, as did her colleagues, for her wisdom, compassion and gentle Spirit of love and kindness! She is sorely missed!! She labored long and hard, giving her best to all she encountered! She was a blessing to all she met. It was my privilege to know her, work with her and benefit from her wisdom and friendship. I miss her! She may be gone, but she will never be forgotten! Her light will forever shine in the memories and hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her!

I had the privilege of taking care of Kim. And although I didn’t know her personally , I felt an instant connection with her precious soul. Kim was a brave fighter. Often when caring for Kim I would sit with her and chat. One day after not having seen her for 2 weeks, she greeted me when I went in her room. She asked me about how my daughter was doing away at college and told me she’d been praying for her career path. Kim got an extra back rub that day.♥️ My sincere condolences to those who loved and knew her. She must of been an amazing friend to have. Julie/ Mclaren ICU

My Friend, Kim
I discovered that when Kim spoke of me to Phil and others in her family, she referred to me as “my friend Mary.” After some time, Phil finally asked her “Kim, how may Mary’s do you know?” “Well, just one.” she replied. From then on, she always addressed me as “my friend, Mary” and even sent her cards addressed to “my friend, Mary.” I never objected because I considered it to be an honor to be called “my friend, Mary,” by Kim. I cannot begin to imagine what the mail carriers used to think every time they saw one of those cards. But, if they were to ask me, this is what I would tell them:
• She held very high standards for herself. She was always respectful, kind, forgiving and trying to do something for others. Accordingly, she expected her friends to emanate the same standards. I never complained because it was, indeed, an honor to be referred to, by Kim, as “my friend, Mary.”
• As much as I would like to think that I was Kim’s most special friend, I know that she did the same for others. I was never jealous, because Kim’s heart was so big, there was plenty of room for her to include others in it.
She called me one last time from the ICU as she valiantly fought her illness. She was difficult to understand, but I am so grateful for being able to make out her calling me “my friend, Mary;” not only because it truly was an honor to be her friend, but because even as she fought her illness, she never forgot how much it meant to me for her to call me “my friend, Mary.” I believe she knew how important it would be for me to hear those words, “my friend, Mary,” one last time. But, that’s what Kim did. She always thought of others and put them before herself.

I lost a friend today and my heart is broken. She always has sun shine in her heart. Her name is Kim Hart. She always had a shoulder for me to cry on. She would always give you a gift from her heart. She never asked for anything from anyone. She always had a smile for everyone. Both her parents lived to be over a hundred. They taught her about love for her husband, love for friends and anyone that needed a friend she was there. You could not know how infections her kindness and love was.. For this I am sorry to the world. Because a gift from god was called home. And I will miss her greatly. Love you Kim.
