Of Mt. Morris, age 81, died Friday, January 1, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital-Flint. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Steve Windle will officiate with burial to follow in Crestwood Memorial Garden. CarlAaas family will be present at the funeral home on Monday, from 2:00pm until 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers direct memorial contributions to the family fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Carl was born March 1, 1928 in Kings Mountain, North Carolina the son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace and Ethel (Heavner) Allman. He and Thelda were united in marriage June 14, 1947. Carl worked as a mechanic for a number of local dealerships until he retired in 1990.
Carl leaves to cherish his memory wife Thelda, children Jerry(Linda), Donna Rierson, Terry (Karen), Mike (Teresa), Sue (Bill) Roberts; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers Earl (Charlene), Dean (Ann) three sisters Helen (Randolph) Alexander, Brenda Lawson, Linda (Dick) McClain all of North Carolina; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Frances Jones of North Carolina, son-in-law Richard Rierson and twin grandsons.
