Barbara was born in Flint, on August 8, 1943, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard and Emily (Dewald) Wisenbaugh. Barbara attended Lutheran grade schools and remained faithful to the Lord her entire life. She graduated from Beecher High School in 1961 where she met and married the love of her life of 56 years George Besko. Their union would be blessed with four children. Barbara was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Throughout high school, Barbara was known for playing multiple sports. She coached her children in basketball for the Flint CANUSA games and also softball. Barbara loved spending time with family, friends, and shopping. When her kids were growing up Barbara was also the transportation queen to many children. This tradition of helping those who needed a "ride" continued as she was known to stop her amigo, tell someone to jump on, and off she'd go. In her free time, Barbara was very active with her grandchildren, the Elf Khurafeh Shriners, crowned Opossum Queen, was the life of the party and loved being a prankster.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, George; four children: Gracie and husband, Gerald Avery, Melisa Besko, and Stretch, George and wife, Jennifer Besko, and Tonyia and husband, Scott; seven grandchildren: Michael, Jake, Gillian, Logan, Allivia, George, and Scott; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and several special friends.
