Jacob was born in Detroit on November 30, 1946, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob and Betty Petra (Cortina) Kuzawinski. Educated locally, Jacob graduated from Lincoln Park High School with the Class of 1964 and went on to attend Wayne State University. On February 23, 1966, Jacob enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served his country in the Vietnam War, until his honorable discharge on June 1, 1969. Upon his return to the states, Jacob worked as a technician for Kodak until his retirement. Jacob met the love of his life, Ann Eaton, and the two were united in marriage on January 19, 1999. Jacob was a foodie and liked to eat at the best restaurants. He also loved to cook and was famous for his chicken and rice. He lived by this motto “Life is unpredictable, eat dessert first,” and anything chocolate was his favorite. Jacob believed in God and enjoyed reading his Bible. In his free time, he enjoyed driving fast and reading magazines about hunting and fishing. Jacob was a wonderful, loving, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
