Obituary of Roberta Marie Moe
Age 67, of Flint, formerly of Southfield, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021, in Willowbrook Manor. In accordance with Roberta’s wishes cremation has taken place. Condolences may be shared on Roberta’s tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com.
Roberta was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 15, 1953, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Lawrence and Dorthy (Martin) Moe. Raised and educated in the Wayne County area, Roberta continued her studies and obtained her Associate's Degree in Business Management, graduating as the Valedictorian of her class. Roberta had a variety of careers throughout her life, finding her calling when she started her residential and commercial cleaning business. Growing up, Roberta’s love for music she expressed in many different instruments she played and her beautiful voice. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, tending to her plants and flowers. Most of all, Roberta was proud to be a mother, she loved her two children, grandchildren, the neighborhood children, and extended family so much, she was known as the caretaker. Roberta and her children loved the weekend and summer trips to the lake house. Roberta enjoyed boating, fishing, swimming, and especially sunbathing. She was known to make a feast out of anything, she was a creative cook that always served amazing food. Roberta’s love for animals was reflected in the different species she would care for and love as her own, turning her backyard into an animal sanctuary. In her spare time, Roberta enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She was very crafty and creative, always busy creating something. Roberta taught her children and grandchildren how to play Rummy and cherished those times together. Roberta touched so many lives with her contagious laughter or caring ways, she will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter: Shawn Kent; son: Matthew Moe; grandchildren: Megan, Amanda, and Jalyen; brother: Greg Moe; sisters: Claudia Moe, and Gwyn Baxter; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter: Alyssa; and beloved bird: Little Bird.
