I had the pleasure to meet this gentle soul at a bar in an airport while traveling to the US from Switzerland. He was flying for the first time. On the cusp of beginning a new life. What a kind, giving human. Bright-eyed, excited to learn, discover and explore. Willing to listen to new ideas. Friendly beyond measure. Funnily, we held different viewpoints on many issues, yet I developed an immediate fondness for him. We had a pleasant conversation and remained connected on facebook after saying goodbye. I only learned of his death today. I am heartbroken. He had so much to look forward to. I only wish he knew how he impacted those whose paths crossed his during his short time on earth. RIP sweet Aaron.

I met this sweet, sweet, traveling soul at Neighborhood a month or so ago in NC where I live. He was nice to me when the people I should have been able to rely on really weren’t that night. We had the best heart to heart, I made him a bucket list to accomplish before he left NC which included Cookout and Baker’s Dozen (all food related and walking distance to his hotel). He messaged me, thanked me for the hospitality and told me he’s going to miss me and my people. We had a really great night just being 5 minute friends. Heartbroken to hear he isn’t with us anymore. Rest In Peace beautiful human, you were a gem and I am grateful to have known you, even for a wee bit.
