Obituary of Robert Wayne Owens
Age 61, of Mt. Morris, died Friday, July 2, 2021. In accordance with Robert’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Condolences may be shared on Robert’s tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com.
Robert was born in Flint, Michigan on October 6, 1959, the son of Mr & Mrs. James and Mary (Brown) Owens. Raised and educated locally here in Genesee County. Robert enjoyed working in the construction field, always willing to learn a new skill within the workforce. He loved to go fishing and be near the water. Robert was known for making sure everyone had a good day, his smile and laugh were contagious. He loved putting a smile on anyone’s face, known for his jokes and great sense of humor. Most of all Robert was a loving, father and grandfather. He really enjoyed time with his family.
Let to cherish Robert’s memory are his son: Corey (Nicky) Owens; daughter: Amanda McMillan; grandchildren: Nicholas Owens, Korena Owens; siblings: Avis Lloyd, Jim Owens, Rita (Joe) Thayer, Rick (Sherry) Owens, Jack Owens, David Owens; and, nephew: Jeremy Ownes, many other nieces, and nephews; his beloved cat Trouble.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
