Obituary of Lorraine Marie LaSota

Of Mt. Morris, age 86, died Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at Hurley Medical Center. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 am, Monday, October 7, 2013, at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family discretionary fund. Envelopes are available at the church. Lorraine was born June 21, 1927, in Bay City, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Casimer and Minnie (Stachowiak) Deska. She was united in marriage to her devoted husband, Mack S. LaSota. In her free time she enjoyed playing bingo, cards and spending time with her family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Patrick Gobeski and wife, Diane, Pamela Watson, Dawn Raukeberg, Renee LaSota; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister in law, Judi Deska; and many other family and friends She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mack S. LaSota; and brother, James Deska.
