Obituary of Shirley June Aiken

Age 63, of Mt. Morris, died Saturday, July 3, 2021, in Hurley Medical Center. A funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 9, 2021, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services. The family will be present to receive friends from 11:30 am until the time of service. Pastor Kevin Dixson to officiate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Shirley was born in Hudson, Michigan on February 27, 1958, the daughter of Herbert Junior and Alice Irene (Kreighbaum) Bryan. Raised and educated locally, she graduated from Elisabeth Ann Johnson High School with the Class of 1977. Shirley met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Mr. David Aiken in Morenci, Michigan. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling down south to Florida, while there she visited Disney World, Space Center, and Sea World. Shirley was Trustee on the Autocity Eagles Auxiliary board for 5 years. She loved spending time with her family. Shirley was known for her no-bake cookies and banana nut bread, she always had one or the other to share with family when they came over. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers and house plants. In her free time, Shirley enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and sudoku puzzles. Shirley had a huge heart and would do whatever she could for anyone.

 

Left to cherish Shirley’s memory is her husband of 46 years, David Aiken; daughter: Jennifer and husband, Kevin Perryman; son: David Bryan Aiken; siblings: Bonnie and husband, Ken Kime, Randy and wife, Sue Bryan, Terry and husband, Frank Storrs, Gary and wife, Savina Bryan, Julie and husband, John Wise; grandchildren: Ashlyn and Alyssa; sister-in-law: Denise and husband, Mike Whitcomb; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

  
 

Shirley was preceded in death by her father: Herbert Bryan; sister: Gloria Byran; nephew: Nathan Sorrs; and niece: Diana Wyse
