Obituary of Dorothy Joan Puff
Age 87, of Otisville, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021, at home with her family by her side. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Dorothy’s family will be present to receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Pastor Kevin Dixson to officiate, with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Dorothy was born in Evart, Michigan, on January 6, 1934, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ulysses Frank and Iva (Bigford) Giddings. Educated locally, Dorothy graduated from Evart High School with the Class of 1951. Dorothy opened a restaurant with her mother outside of Big Rapids. After a few years, she sold the business and stayed home to care for her mother. Dorothy was an amazing cook and wonderful baker and was known for her famous homemade cookies. Known for her fabulous appearance, Dorothy was always dressed to impress before she would leave her home. In her free time, Dorothy loved to go dancing, traveling, listening to country music, especially Alan Jackson, and riding horses. She was a wonderful, mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Left to cherish Dorothy’s memory is her daughter, Lori Sasser; grandchildren; Mike and wife, Mindy Bicknell, Michael Roney, Mallory Sasser; great-grandchildren: Karlie, Sydney, Bailee, Kensington.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Jeffery Sasser.
