Jack was born in Alma, Michigan, on November 29, 1928, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James and Peggy (Cook) Redman. At a young age, Jack enlisted into the United States Navy, where he proudly served his country, until receiving his honorable discharge. Upon returning to civilian life, Jack met and married the love of his life, Betty Tobias, on March 22, 1952. Sadly, she preceded him in death on May 24, 2021, after 69 wonderful years of marriage. Jack worked for General Motors Truck & Bus as an automobile painter until his retirement in 1982. Jack loved to have a fresh-cut lawn and keeping up on his yard was a great joy to him. In his free time, he enjoyed whittling, working around the house, and spending time with his family. Jack was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Left to cherish Jack’s memory are his children: Bill and wife, Pam Redman, Linda and husband, Steve Swire, Brenda and husband, Ben Pince; daughter-in-law, Diane Redman, 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; son, Herb Redman; siblings: Gene, Ruth, Imo Gene, Franklin Gordon.
