Age 93, of Mt. Morris, died Saturday, June 5, 2021, at home. A funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends and family from 11:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be considered to Heartland Hospice envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Condolences may be shared with the family at martinfuneralhome.com.
Audrey was born in Sault St. Marie, Michigan, on March 15, 1928, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wright and Flora (Davis) Van Dyke. Raised and educated locally in the Sault St. Marie area. Audrey loved being involved in the community, she enjoyed traveling and sightseeing as well as going to the casino. Audrey liked to dance and listen to music. When she moved to the Mt. Morris area she was involved with St. Mark Lutheran Church in Flint. Audrey was known for her baked goods, especially her apple pies. She loved playing games such as, cards, dominos, and doing puzzles. Audrey also was a part of the Red Hat Society for many years. Audrey was a member of the Ladies Guild and the VFW Post Auxiliary #8236. As a part of the senior center in Mt Morris, she enjoyed the activities and gatherings they had. Audrey loved her family and will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Jack and wife, Arlene Reno, Alan and wife, Donna Reno, Cindy and husband, David Evenson; stepchildren: Bernard and wife, Barb Reno, Dale and wife, Connie Reno, Carol and husband, Bob Drinkwine, Cynthia and Sue; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and beloved cat Sophie.
Audrey was preceded in death by first husband LaVern Reno; second husband: Harold Kindell; brother: Clayton Van Dyke; and beloved cat: Tinker.
