Age 92, of Mount Morris, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021, at home, with her family by her side. A funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Kevin Dixson to officiate, with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project. Betty was born in Flint on September 8, 1928, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence and Beatrice (Kirkpatrick) Tobias. Educated locally, she graduated from Beecher High School with the Class of 1946. Betty met and married the love of her life, J Herbert Redman, on March 22, 1952. Their union was blessed with five children. Betty was a homemaker her whole life pouring her heart and soul into her family. She was a wonderful mom and loving wife. In her free time, Betty enjoyed visiting with her sisters. She loved family get togethers. Betty came from a very large family and enjoyed spending time with her loved ones.
Betty is survived by her husband of 69 years, J Herbert Redman; children: Linda and husband, Steve Swire, Brenda and husband, Ben Pince, Bill and wife, Pam Redman, James Redman; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Darryl and wife, Annetta Tobias and Wanda Brink; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; son, Herb Redman; siblings: Adella Wildman, Joann Corlew, Jean DeDominces, Robert Tobias, Leo Tobias, and Mona Beech.
