Aimee was born in Flint on May 15, 1979, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester and Terri (Vohwinkle) Loyer. Aimee was home-schooled and graduated in 1997. She went on to obtain her Associate’s Degree in the medical field from Ross Medical School in Saginaw, graduating first in her class. Aimee met and married the love of her life, James Gilmore, on June 14, 2003, at North End Baptist Church. Their union would be blessed with two beautiful daughters. Aimee was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church, where she was a leader of women's Bible studies, a director of the children's Christmas pageants, a Life Changers counselor and volunteer, and a praise team member and helpmate in any way possible. Aimee enjoyed going to Bible study, and working in her flower garden planting sunflowers, roses, and many other flowers. She taught her children how to cook and loved when they cooked for her. Some of the many fun things Aimee did with her children include scrapbooking, making cards, painting, and anything artistic. She was very musically inclined and had an amazing voice, sharing her talent of singing with her church family and at the county fair. She also played the piano. In addition, she also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, fishing, camping at the local campgrounds and at the family cabin up north in Wolverine, and vacationing with her family to North Carolina to spend time with her sister. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend to all who knew her, she will be greatly missed.

Aimee leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 17 years, James Gilmore; parents, Lester and Terri Loyer; daughters: Katelyn Elisabeth Gilmore and Carleigh Ann Gilmore; siblings: Melissa and husband, Joel Anderson, Jonathon Loyer; sister-in-law; Cindi and husband, John Olson; grandfathers: Lester Loyer and Terry Vohwinkle; nieces and nephews: Travis, Brendan, Vanessa, Jacob, Alyssa, Shea, Samuel, Alexis; father and mother-in-law; Glen and Ann Gilmore; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Aimee was preceded in death by her grandmothers: Maxine Loyer and Yvonne Vohwinkle; and aunt, Sherry.
