Age 81, of Midland, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021, in the arms of her daughter, Phyllis, who had been caring for her, along with her devoted grandchildren, Courtney Henry and Mark Henry. In accordance with Sylvia’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Sylvia’s tribute page at martinfuenralhome.com.

 

Sylvia was born in Jefferson County, Alabama, on March 29, 1940, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William and Martha (Hill) Jackson. Sylvia met and married the love of her life, Frederick Henry, on January 16, 1956. Sylvia loved being a wife, mom, and grandma, spending time with her family and taking care of them was of most importance to her. She loved her little dogs as a part of her family. Sylvia was known for always helping others. She was saved and is rejoicing with her Lord in Heaven. She enjoyed crafts, reading, and traveling. Sylvia was a beautiful person and will be dearly missed.

 

Left to cherish Sylvia’s memory are her loving husband of 65 years, Frederick Henry; children: Linda Morey, Christine Middleton, and Phyllis Henry; adopted grandchildren: Melinda Henry and Jeanette Henry; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, and grandson, Derick Rak.
