Gary was a blast taking me & my kids tubing on the AuSable with Cindy several years ago. We laughed for hours and still to this day my kids, all grown up still talk about the memories that were made. Rest in peace Gary, you will be dearly missed by so many, especially your dear family.

Gary was one of the good guys. A proud family man and he has a great family to be proud of. Always around to be helpful when he was needed. My first Thanksgiving with John, we had my family and some of John's family over and I cooked turkey with all the fixins. Carl and Gary had their annual tickets to the Lions game so their arrival was a little later than dinner but we heated up the food and the two of them talked about the game and carried on like high schoolers. We all had desert and then the party broke up. I was so glad they spent some of their Holiday with us. The stories Lucille, John, Gary and Carl would tell would usually end up with a good laugh about something silly. A couple of years ago, John and Gary went up north together and put in a new hot water heater in the cabin when the old one bit the dust. After a couple of trips to the hardware they finally achieved their goal. I thought for sure they would make a stop at the casino on the way home but they resisted and got their mission accomplished. Just a couple of stories I am sure we all have. Gary is deeply loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Our hearts go out to all the family and friends. Rest in Peace. Your work here is done. Love and Miss You John & Sharon Gunnels
