Age 79, of Mt. Morris, died Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Maplewood Manor. A private memorial service will be held with Mr. Gary Pillow to officiate, at Martin Funeral, Cremation, and Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Patricia’s family will be present at the funeral home to receive family and friends from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Friday, February 26, 2021. Memorial contributions may be considered to Genesee County Humane Society, envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Patricia was born in Flint, Michigan on December 14, 1941, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milborne and Cline (West) Pillow. Educated locally, Patricia graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the Class of 1960. Patricia met the love of her life, Daniel Chromie, while working at Rockwell Ace Hardware. The two dated for many years until they were united marriage on June 17, 1967. Patricia enjoyed meeting up with the “coffee club” at the McDonalds in Mt. Morris, for over 28 years. As a member of the Kraphol Senior Center, Patricia would collect tickets at the front door when her brother, Jerry Pillow’s band, The Country Express, played. She was involved with Kraphol Center activities, often baking cakes and pies for events and holiday gatherings. Patricia was a sociable person who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. The family would like to express their sincerest thanks to the staff at Maplewood Manor for their excellent care and compassion.
Patricia leaves to cherish her memory, husband of 53 years, Daniel; daughter: Kimberly Chromie; nieces and nephews: Scott and wife, Robin Pillow, Gary and wife, Kim Pillow, Amy Gunn and, fiancee; sister-in-law: Norma Slattery and, Linda Pillow; dearest friends: JoAnn Clement, Gloria Patterson; special friends: Howard and wife, Dorothy Whitlock; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great nephews and friends.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother: Jerry Pillow.
