Age 58, of Clio, died Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at McLaren Flint. A private burial will be held at Montrose Township Cemetery. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the National Down Syndrome Society, the Alzheimer's Association, or the Dementia Society of America. Kelly was born on December 2, 1962, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and June Kesten. Kelly attended Elmer Knopf School on Van Slyke Road until she turned 18, she then went on to an activity center at Westwood Elementary School. She enjoyed listening to country music, Johnny Cash, Tony Orlando, Captain and Tenille, and Sonny and Cher. When you would ask her who she would like to listen to, she would respond "Johnny Cash-loud" because that was how her foster dad listened to him with her. When Kelly was ten years old, she moved in with her foster family in the Fall of 1973, and they have loved her as their own ever since. In her free time, Kelly enjoyed family gatherings, watching television, watching Lawrence Welk videos, eating out at her favorite restaurant, Big Boy, with her favorite entrees, including spaghetti and coney islands. Kelly's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks for the wonderful care and compassion the caregivers at Summers Home gave to Kelly.
Kelly leaves to cherish her memory her loving foster sisters: Linda Davis, Gail Wilkins, Brenda Hart, Judy Miller; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Kelly was preceded in death by foster parents: Loris and Neoma Hart; and brother: Mark Kesten.
