Jill was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan, on February 2, 1950, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore L and Betty Lou (Morgan) Hopkins. Jill graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1968. She attended Olivet Nazarene University but earned her bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University. Mt. Morris Middle School is where she taught special education classes for over 30 years. Jill loved to have fun and loved to be around young people. Campfires with her friends were also special times for her. She organized family reunions with her extended family and siblings' families. She was active in Richfield Church of the Nazarene, taught Sunday School, directed Christmas programs for young people, and was a greeter at Welcome Center for many years. Photography, scrapbooking, and collecting antiques occupied her spare time. Jill's home showed her love for antiques and she especially enjoyed visiting antique stores with friends. She was the best Aunt in the world. Jill made everyone feel welcome, was a joy to be around and her genuine smile lit up the room.
Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Jack, and wife Cindy Hopkins, Bill, and wife Carol Hopkins; nieces and nephews: Traci Jane, Lisa, and husband Ben, Jeremy, Nicole, and husband Gregg, Sara and husband Kevin, Joe, and wife Kathy, and Joshua; great-nieces and nephews: Ashlynn, Madelynn, Brooklynn, Emily, Ben, Logan, Colt, Cassie, Josh Jr., Braden, Alexis, Clayton, Carter, Molly, Lukas, Levi, Anna, and Cecil: three great-great-nieces: many important cousins and special friends.
