I just heard the life story of Mr & Mrs McCombs on the “Unshackled” radio program of Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago, IL. Wow! What a great testimony and inspiration for a life lived for Christ. My condolences to your family. I know that you miss them greatly. It won’t be long when we’ll all be together at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. I look forward to meeting Mr & Mrs McCombs there! Hello - I am Grateful for my Neice who shared of Aunt Joans passing from earth to her next. What a great story of a woman of remarkable strength and direction. Knowing her family is stronger and have fuller lives because of her Life Story is comforting.Knowing her source of life is in and through so many generations is remarkable. How lovely to see the smile of my beloved Grandmother Mary in her smile- I light a candle to celebrate that and her life energy in my life. Thank you for Aunt Joan serving in the lives of so many. To all the McCombs family, we offer our sincere condolences on the homegoing of your Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was a woman after God's own heart and I will not soon forget her. I think the thing that impacted me most was the confidence with which she prayed. She knew that when she shared her burdens with her Lord, He heard her and cared deeply for what concerned her. I don't expect any introductions were necessary when she walked into God's presence this week and I'm sure her friendship with God picked up right where it left off when she said goodbye to all of us. Her life made all the difference in my life and I look forward to the day when I can thank her personally for the example she was to me.
