Obituary of Michael Wayne Gregory Jr.

Age 36, of Flint, died Tuesday, January 5, 2021. In accordance with Mikey’s wishes, cremation will take place. A private funeral service will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Martin Funeral, Cremation, and Tribute Services of Grand Blanc, 8253 S. Saginaw Street Grand Blanc. Pastor Greg Rowen to officiate. The family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Saturday, from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm. Mikey was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 15, 1984, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wayne and Brenda Faye (Nelson) Gregory, and grew up in Martin, Tennessee, before moving to Flint as a teenager. He was educated locally, in Tennessee and Grand Blanc. After high school, he went into the construction industry with his family. Self-employed as a contractor, remodeling homes, Mikey specialized in drywall, but his ability allowed him to move into many construction areas. He was a jack of all trades and liked fixing things. In his free time, Mikey enjoyed drawing and spending time with family and friends.
Mikey leaves to cherish his memory his daughter: Alyssa and her mom Lacie; son: Mateo, and his mom, Maria; two step-children: Avah and Zachery; dad, Michael Gregory Sr.; sisters: Tina and husband, Michael Barner, Leah Raimondo; brother: Jeremy and wife, Kylie Allen; and several nieces and nephews.
Mikey was preceded in death by his mom.
