Lois met and married the love of her life, Henry Wickings, and the two were married on April 20, 1976, in Port Huron, MI. Lois started her career working at Welch's Factory and continued her employment when it became Volplex Factory. She worked for the factory for many years before traveling with her beloved husband, Henry, all around the state of Michigan, working in concessions for the carnival until her retirement in 2008. Lois loved being outside, gardening, working in her yard, and helping her husband haul and split wood. In her free time, Lois enjoyed cooking and baking, but most of all, she loved being with her family.
