Obituary of Phyllis Loraine Coleman

Age 82, of Mount Morris, died Saturday, November 21, 2020, at MediLodge Of Montrose. A private funeral service for Phyllis will be held Wednesday, November 25, at Martin Funeral Cremation and Tribute Services in Mt Morris, with a private burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Phyllis’s tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com. Memorial contributions in Phyllis’s name may be made to the Coleman family fund.
Phyllis was born in Detroit, Michigan, on May 12, 1938, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emery and Melda (Gray) Smith. She married Roy Coleman after the passing of her first husband Roy Carr. Both sadly preceded her in death. Phyllis was a Certified Nursing Aide at Kith Haven for many years. Phyllis was a wonderful seamstress. In her free time, Phyllis enjoyed shopping, reading, sewing, and spending time with family and friends.
Phyllis leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Rhonda Manning, Kimberly, and husband, Don Szymanski; son: Dennis Coleman; five grandchildren: Ruth, James, Joe, Ian, and Aubrey; ten great-grandchildren; five siblings: Charlene Merchant, Judy Christianson, Beverly (Raymond) Dennie, Debbie (Larry) Webster and Michael Smith; and many other family members and friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Carr; second husband, Roy Coleman; two sons: Larry and Paul Carr; her parents; five brothers: Jimmy, Patrick, Ronny, Donny, Billy, and her sister, Cindy.
